Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Summer is a compassionate advocate who helps patients feel seen, understood, and supported throughout their mental health journey. She takes time to understand each person’s challenges and goals, working collaboratively to develop care that fits their individual needs.
Summer’s approach may include medication management, psychotherapy, and discussion of complementary options when appropriate. She also has experience providing medication-assisted treatment for binge eating disorder and obesity.
Her passion for mental health education extends beyond the office, including incorporating therapy micro miniature horses into educational experiences. In every setting, Summer’s goal is to offer thoughtful, personalized care that helps people move toward greater well-being.
Every member of our team is also a parent, we understand the importance of treating children when it comes to mental health needs. Many pediatricians do not have the experience with medication management to comfortably treat children when it comes to some psychiatric medications. Summer accepts patients of all ages for mental health evaluations and medication management.
Insight Psychiatry Center offers Emotional Support Animal (ESA) and Psychiatric Service Animal (PSA) letter evaluations for established clients when clinically appropriate. These evaluations are based on each client’s individual needs and a professional clinical assessment. If you are an established client and would like to learn more, please contact our office to discuss the evaluation process with Summer Sievert.
In addition to psychiatric medication management Summer also practices functional medicine. This is generally not covered by insurance but is a patient-centered approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of diseases rather than just treating symptoms. Summer uses multiple methods of care to help get to the root cause of issues including genetics, environment, and
lifestyle (including diet, exercise, and stress) and then create a personalized treatment plan. This approach is often used for chronic conditions like fatigue, digestive issues, and autoimmune disorders. If you would like to learn more about functional medicine please contact our office.
Summer has a deep passion for mental health and hopes to play a part in providing care to as many patients as possible. If you have a community event you would like us to attend or would just be interested in networking with our practice please contact us at office@insighthelpforme.com or call the office at 270-439-8304 and ask to speak to the practice manager.
