As a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am able to deliver appropriate care for challenging and changing situations. Being part of the healthcare industry for the past 10 years, I have been able to diversify my experiences within the extensive field.
I value developing relationships with patients in order to facilitate the healing and caring process in the best way possible.
Summer Sievert is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has worked in a variety of settings in the healthcare industry. After graduating as Valedictorian from Breckenridge School of Nursing for her Associate of Science in Nursing, her road with education was only at the beginning. Summer completed a bachelor’s in nursing at Aspen University and earned a bachelor’s in accounting from Kaplan University.
Upon completing multiple degrees with distinguished honors, Summer decided to continue her education at Western Governor’s University to earn a Master of Nursing, specializing in Nursing Education. Through her positions in the field, Summer continued learning and worked towards becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by completing a post master’s certificate through Regis College.
Summer has been viewed as a leader within the professional setting through various associations and committees throughout her career. While working with sexual assault cases, she gained involvement with the Best Practices Committee within the Florida Sexual Assault Task Force.
In addition, she served as the Florida Chapter Vice President of the International Association of Forensic Nurses
Summer’s experience includes working with adolescents and adult patients of all ages and backgrounds. Her extensive professional experience includes working within the Emergency Departments in the hospital, in the hospital, detox, residential and partial hospitalization program treatment centers focused around mental health and addiction, and outpatient mental healthcare among within the community and group homes.
She focuses working with patients and their families to provide the best treatment and plans moving forward.
